Watch_

An exploration into stripping a product back to its simplest form. I wanted to utilise the finest materials and components typical in an automatic Swiss watch, but remove some of the embellishment that detracts from the beauty of their craftsmanship.

I found that beyond the obvious associative reasons for buying a luxury watch, many are drawn to the more innate qualities of owning something built on a rich heritage of quality and longevity.
The decision to reference early monocoque (single-piece) designs and not have a window to show the movement was a nod to this concept; only the owner knows what is hidden beneath the simple hand-printed dial.
